 |  Residence in Carlyle Hotel at Madison Ave. and 76th St. The Vision Lifestyle is of priority in designing a residence. Residential design in general requires understanding a resident's tastes and preferences to derive a direction for an intended atmosphere. The vision for the Carlyle Residence is to depict the client's lifestyle. We departed from the Deco Style of the buildin ( built in 1931) and selected furnishings and finishes of the Modern Era. We framed within the space a contemporary zone for relaxing by the fire with stairs leading to a platform flanked by columns and illuminated by fire. The overall design concept strives to create inner tranquility and a haven of sort. Strong, simple elegance depict the design goal.
