 |  Polpo Restaurant - Greenwich, CT The Vision The vision for the role of the Champagne Room of Polpo Restaurant in Greenwich, Connecticut is to create a destination dining/lounge experience for clientele unique within the restaurant and unique in Greenwich. The design premise is based upon drawing patrons to this upper level and creating a unique VIP experience separate from the very upscale Italian dining experience of the first level, yet fitting with the existing design context of the lower level. The floor plan celebrates circulation and axial views with the encaustic finish barrel vault echoing back to frescos in early Italian architecture. Silk fabric framed sliding panel doors offer flexibility in partitioning the space. Leather banquettes with an exaggerated high back, custom carpets with copper and mocha tones, and travertine pavers outlining the barrel vault above aim to add elegance to the room for dining while floor lamps and table lamps throughout the space create a residential, lounge atmosphere.
