 |  Kenneth Cole Shoe and Handbag Design Studio The Vision To create defined spaces for the designers to work within, while at the same time, maintaining open space and easy circulation for the shoe and handbag design studio space. We acheived this by partitioning the space with bamboo screens that allow light to pass through. We incorporated texture and beautiful materials to inspire the designers. We incorporated storage along long linear axes where there could be dual purposes for the space: both as storage and presentation. We designed shoe storage fixtures to house shoes, while at the same time, functioning as drop down display planks for designers to put their shoes on to present their ideas to each other. Although the overall space has fluid openess, the designers still feel a sense of privacy at their workstations or charrette tables due to use of screens and placement of storage fixtures.
